KSL Clinic GMC Status

At KSL Clinic, every doctor who consults with or operates on you is registered with the General Medical Council, and we think that’s worth explaining properly rather than just quoting as a badge. So in this article, we’re breaking down what GMC registration actually means, what it requires of our doctors, and why it should factor into your decision as much as any hair transplant results gallery.

Who Are the GMC?

The General Medical Council (GMC) is the independent statutory regulator for doctors practising in the UK. Its role is to protect patients by setting the standards doctors must meet in their knowledge, skills and conduct, approving and overseeing medical education and training, maintaining the official register of doctors licensed to practise, and investigating concerns raised about individual doctors’ fitness to practise. A doctor cannot legally practise medicine in the UK without being registered with, and holding a licence from, the GMC.

KSL Clinic and the GMC

Every doctor who consults with or operates on a patient at KSL Clinic is registered with the GMC. This includes Dr Matee, KSL Clinic’s Clinical Lead, who oversees surgical procedures and clinical standards across all locations, alongside surgeons Dr Erjon, Dr Nishal and Dr Zeeshan, each of whom is GMC-registered and specialises in Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplantation.

Doctor Role GMC Number Profile
Dr Matee Clinical Lead 7043306 About Dr Matee
Dr Erjon Hair Transplant Surgeon 7330071 About Dr Erjon
Dr Zeeshan Hair Transplant Surgeon 7006010 About Dr Zeeshan
Dr Nishal Hair Transplant Surgeon 7451632 About Dr Nishal

What We’re Regulated For

GMC regulation is applied to individual doctors, not to KSL Clinic as an organisation. It covers a doctor’s fitness to practise medicine safely, their adherence to the GMC’s Good Medical Practice standards, and their ongoing accountability, including the GMC’s power to restrict or remove a doctor’s licence if standards aren’t met.

What This Means for You

Every doctor you see for a consultation or procedure at KSL Clinic has met the GMC’s requirements for safe, competent medical practice, and remains individually accountable to the GMC throughout their career. You can check the registration status of any doctor by name on the GMC’s public register before your consultation.
