Disclaimer: First and foremost, KSL Clinic does believe in charging by the graft. This is because we extract the maximum grafts in a surgery. Since every patient is different, we focus on the result rather than the graft, so if additional grafts need to be harvested, we will not stop at a pre-agreed number of grafts to ensure client satisfaction. The information below should only be used as a guide.

Generally, a 1,500-graft hair transplant is considered moderate and could be used to restore minor hair loss around the hairline, address initial spots of hair thinning or baldness, or as part of a less extensive frontal hairline restoration procedure.

1,500 Graft Hair Transplant Summary

  • We don’t recommend basing your decision on the number of grafts as this won’t result in the outcome you’re expecting. It’s best to focus on the outcome rather than the number of grafts.
  • A hair transplant involving 1,500 grafts is reasonably modest and is normally around the right number of grafts for clients with hair loss impacting smaller areas of their hair.
  • Typically, a male client with baldness assessed at up to stage three on the Norwood Scale would need around 1,500 grafts, but this depends on the nature, texture, thickness and growth patterns of your existing hair.

A Hair Transplant Adapted to You

Every hair transplant procedure we perform at KSL Clinic is adapted to you. This is why there isn’t a straightforward or universal price list or accurate way to indicate the total number of grafts you’ll need based solely on the areas affected or the measurements of hair loss locations alone.

Instead, we provide complimentary consultations across our clinics, where one of our accomplished hair restoration specialists can analyse your scalp and hair, inspect your hair growth, discuss your concerns, and learn how you’d like your hair to look in an ideal world.

As we’ve mentioned, 1,500 grafts are reasonably modest, given that extensive hair transplants can potentially require thousands of grafts, which means this number of grafts might be necessary for:

  • Minimal to moderate hair loss around the temples.
  • Restoration transplants to correct the frontal hairline.
  • Transplants to address localised hair loss areas.

A hair transplant involving 1,500 grafts may, therefore, be sufficient to replenish hair loss around the sides of the temples to the front of your hair and backward from the hairline – often the initial signs of a receding hairline.

However, if your hair loss extends further backwards towards the crowd, you may require more than 1,500 grafts. Likewise, if you have limited hair loss around the corners of the hairline, your transplant might involve as few as 500 grafts.

How much would a 1500 graft hair transplant cost?

We don’t charge by the graft so the cost of a 1500 graft hair transplant will be the same as our other procedures.

As an idea, 1500 hair transplants with KSL Clinic usually cost between £2,500 and £6,500. During your consultation, we can discuss our interest-free payment packages and longer-term finance plans if you’d like to spread the cost of your hair transplant.

A focus on results

Many clients like to review our gallery of before-and-after results alongside celebrity client testimonials. Seeing the outcomes of a hair transplant on a client with a similar extent of hair loss or a comparable hair type and texture can be a great way to visualise the achievable outcomes.

The examples below are indicative of real-world hair transplant results:

    • Ryan Cleary, reality TV star and influencer, booked an FUE hair transplant with KSL Clinic to restore frontal hairline growth and lower his hairline from the temples. He says, ‘Everyone was so welcoming and made me feel comfortable the moment I walked in. I watched Netflix and a couple of films – it was a really chilled day. All in all, the procedure went really smoothly, such an amazing team!’
    • Sean Lineker, reality TV star and influencer, also opted for an FUE hair transplant to address initial hair thinning and a receding hairline to the front of his hair. After his procedure, Sean said, ‘Although my hairline has never been that bad, it’s always been a massive source of insecurity for me both in front of the camera and in my day to day life. I booked in at KSL Clinic to fix the problem. I can’t thank KSL Clinic & Dr Matee enough for the care and attention they gave me.’
